The Secret of Kells (2009) is an animated film about the 17th century creation of the Book of Kells, an illuminated manuscript Gospel book in Latin. Please note: Although absolutely wonderful, this film has barely had any mainstream attention. I think it is not shown in the cinema much (only limited release) so my foremost aim by putting this online is getting it a bit more fame. Therefore, I urge you all to buy the dvd - it really is worth it, and you support the makers in making more of such terrific animated films!
