Japanese Remote Control Spherical Drone
Slightly more sinister than yesterday's cute and fuzzy "air swimmers", is this Remote Control Spherical Surveillance Drone.
It is the world's 1st remote control spherical flying device capable of hovering in place for long periods of time. It was developed by the Research Department at Japan's Ministry of Defense, weighs 350 grams, is 42 centimeters in diameter, and is made of commercially available parts costing a total of around $1,400 USD. The hope is to use it for difficult search & rescue, reconnaissance and filming girls undressing operations.
