More Cowbell

From SNL's classic Season 25, Episode 16, its the memorable and often-quoted More Cowbell sketch.

Featuring Christopher Walken as the hard-ass hit record producer THE Bruce Dickinson, Jimmy Fallon as drummer Bobby Rondinelli unable to keep a straight face or stay in character (what else is new), a harrassed Chris Parnell as lead vocalist Eric Bloom, Chris Kattan as guitarist Buck Dharma, Horatio Sanz as Joe Bouchard, and last but certainly not least Will Ferrell in the lead role as (fictional character) Gene Frenkle (on the immortal cowbell), who's inspiration was loosely based on Eric Bloom's earlier appearance/style in rock band The Blue Oyster Cult.

The gag of the sketch centers on the band trying to lay down the track for "Don't Fear The Reaper" but quickly becoming frustrated with lead cowbell player Gene Frenkle as he bumps into them and gives "a little too much" cowbell for their liking, but for producer Bruce Dickinson, there's no such thing as too much cowbell, as he repeatedly interrupts them demanding more.

The sketch that made more cowbell a household phrase and cultural phenomenon (and promises you'll never look at someone playing a cowbell the same way again).
