The film Shaolin .vs. Ninja, also known as Challenge Of The Ninja and Shaolin Challenges Ninja was re-released in 2008 throughout North America (and later internationally) as "Heroes of the East". It is one of the best looks at Kung Fu (Chinese martial arts) .vs. Budo (Japanese martial arts).
Psst. Hey you, come a little closer. I want to tell you something about the future. It will either be: A mind-bendingly awesome; utopian landscape where all of Earth's problems have been resolved and technology and humanity have evolved to create harmony.
Or it might be a fucked-up dystopian nightmare. Where artificial intelligence has surpassed that of it's creators. Or perhaps humans have ravaged the Earth to such a degree that it has gone into full revolt. Or A scarcity of resources has humans warring over water. It depends on which film you watch or what time of day you might have asked Stanley Kubrick's opinion.
Eclectic Method has supercut some of our favorite scenes from movies that turn a predictive eye to the future. Blade Runner's Megacities alongside A.I.'s flooded New York and Idiocracy's run down shanty towns. Some technology predictions in these films have already proven to be accurate and some are still a ways off - or not! ... cameras on every corner, oil shortages, massive cultural uprisings in the middle east, retinal scans, X-Rays, flying cars and hoverboards, hybrid humans, robots, A.I., teleportation and so on. Who really watches Sci-Fi for the plot anyway, you wanna see the goodness condensed.
Democratic change has been demanded across the Middle East. But was what seems like a spontaneous revolution actually a strategically planned event, fabricated by 'revolution consultants' long in advance?
Revolution consultants are the worst nightmare of every regime. Srdja Popovic was a founder of the organisation 'Otpor', a revolution training school. It was instrumental in the overthrow of Slobodan Milosevic in the 1990s and has now inspired a new generation of activists. Political commentators like William Engdahl are convinced Otpor is being financed by the USA. "The people from Otpor gave us a book in which they described all their strategies", says Ezzedine Zaatour of the Tunisian uprising. That book was written by an American, Gene Sharp, and is now considered the "revolution guide book", being used by opposition movements worldwide. As Optor release their latest gadget, a resistance training computer game sponsored by American organizations, world leaders are voicing their concerns. "This is called a gentle coup!", insists Hugo Chavez.
In the 21st century it seems the world is still but a stage, and today's play runs rampant with irony, double-crossing and hipocrisy.
One of that last few one-world resistors, Libya, is being taken over by NATO for its massive oil reserves and amalgamation into the globalist agenda.
5'8" Nate Robinson defeated 6'11" Dwight Howard and other competitors by donning kryptonite green Knicks jersey and ball and demonstrating his amazing leaping abilities in the NBA All-Star Slam Dunk Contest for 2009.
