Endurance, or Za Gaman in Japanese, is an extreme TV gameshow where contestants have to endure humiliating, painful and often bizarre rituals. It was the original of a series of TV shows that came out of Japan that pushed the limits of what was legal, and epitomized the saying "only in Japan".

I was silly enough to think the high-pace beat/tune in this energetic french hip-hop track was actually entirely unique. Sure enough, "WhoSampled" proved me wrong as it is a cover of George and Gwen McCrae's I'll Do the Rocking. I guess there really is no such thing as an "original idea", just a creative reworking and re-imagining of what we already know or have accomplished. It's still a badass tune though!
