Patrick McGoohan - The Prisoner Puzzle

A very rare interview from Canadian Television circa 1977. Warner Troyer interviews Patrick McGoohan about the making and meaning of the 1960s TV series The Prisoner. This interview took place in Toronto in 1977 in front of, and with the participation of, a studio audience. The 35-minute program was broadcast on TVOntario, a public television network which had shown The Prisoner series along with commentaries from Troyer from October 1976 to February 1977. The Ontario Educational Communications Authority (OECA) also published a 21-page booklet on The Prisoner called The Prisoner Puzzle. Check out the FULL Transcript at Scribd.

Corpse Moves in Coffin

Officially labelled the "Dead Man Makes Pranks Wakes Up From Coffin" prank by JustForLaughs. This gag reminds me of the sad yet strange (if in fact true) story last month about the boy who woke up in his casket to ask for water, then laid back down once again dead.

Tar Sands Oil Extraction - The Dirty Truth

Environmental devastation of the land, water, and air - the largest industrial energy project in the world is extracting crude oil from bitumen found beneath the pristine boreal forest of Alberta, Canada. Effecting a land mass equivalent in size to Florida or England, Both industry and government are putting money before the health and security of its people and the environment.

Tar sands take 3 barrels of water to process every barrel of oil extracted. Ninety percent of this water becomes so toxic that it must be stored in tailing ponds. Unfortunately these ponds regularly leach pollution into the third largest watershed in the world.

Water depletion, exploitation, privatization and contamination has become one of the most important issues facing humanity this century. Check out my other video on water issues: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XMmpg35Bym0 and see my other videos to learn about the dark side of fossil fuels.

To learn more about tar sands, be sure to check out the featured film sources listed below. Find out more about what you can do and how to support the film makers.

Tar sands development can be minimized by blocking development of pipelines, such as Keystone XL, that carry the sludge of this incredibly polluting energy project. Tell Canada to clean up this mess and join with Bill McKibben and Josh Fox and let your voice be heard.

Occupy Protests Spread Across Canada

According to an article by MetroNews Halifax, Vancouver-based author and marxist sympathizer Min Reyes believes that the protests sweeping North America and much of the developed world is a "global awakening where we need to figure out how to save our world from destruction".

Love it, hate it or feel indifferent about it, the protests in the spirit of "Occupy Wall Street" have clearly arrived in Atlantic Canada, with the biggest turnout so far over this past weekend on October 15th, 2011.
