Step 1: Distract the child
Distract the child from whatever’s causing the frustration. Draw the child’s attention to anything else – a toy, a book, or activity.
Step 2: Stay calm
Remain calm and collected. Show the child you have control of the situation.
How To Deal With a Toddler's Temper Tantrum:
Step 3: Talk to the child
Discuss the situation with the child. Show them you understand why they are upset.
Step 4: Remove the child
Remove the child from the scene, whether it’s a family gathering, a shopping mall, or grocery store. Pick up the child and physically remove them to a different surrounding.
Reserve a time-out area in your home where the child will go to calm down.
Step 5: Be consistent
Always be consistent with your actions. Never give in to an unruly child, or your child will soon rule your home.
Just another regular day at Chateau Moorewood. Brett's getting lit in the garage when he's attacked by a baby robin. Brett is rather intimidated by the little bird and calls in The Bird Whisperer (devo).
Please note the 5 foot tall mound of liquor boxes, pizza boxes and old bed frames the Bird Whisperer bust climb in order to save the scared little robin. The little robin does not realize he's only trying to be helped back into natural habitat and makes the rescue more difficult.
Soon enough our little friend is trapped and released back into the wilderness....
After three days, a 4-month-old baby was found alive amongst the debris in Ishinomaki, Miyagi prefecture within the Tohoku region of Japan which was battered by an Earthquake and Tsunami on Friday, March 12th, 2011.
According to news reports, she was reunited with her father shortly after being saved by members of the Japanese Self-Defense Forces rescue crew.
This is an amazing and inspiring story, considering the other photos and reports coming out of Japan.
At TEDxRainier, Patricia Kuhl shared astonishing findings about how babies learn one language over another -- by listening to the humans around them and "taking statistics" on the sounds they need to know. Clever lab experiments (and brain scans) show how 6-month-old babies use sophisticated reasoning to understand their world.

In the avenue of cruel and unusual videos there is this one... a helpless and innocent Baby battles a King Cobra in the streets of Mumbai, India as the baby's parents look on.
Sure this is madness? No... it's how Snake-Charmers teach their children not to be afraid of snakes. The cobra was de-fanged and had its venom glands removed.
