A Charlie Brown Christmas (1965) is the first of many prime-time animated TV specials based upon the comic strip Peanuts, by Charles M. Schulz. It was produced and directed by former Warner Bros. and UPA animator Bill Meléndez, who also supplied the voice for the character of Snoopy. Initially sponsored by Coca-Cola, the special aired on CBS from its debut in 1965 through 2000, and has aired on ABC since 2001. For many years it aired only annually, but is now telecast at least twice during the Christmas season. The special has been honored with both an Emmy and Peabody award.

Jaga is captured by Nemex, an evil being in the Astral world, and Lion-O tries to find a way to rescue him. Third Earth legend says that the only person who can transport anyone to the Astral world is the evil Nether-Witch. Little do the Thundercats know that Mumm-Ra and the Nether-Witch are one and the same. Mumm-Ra traps Lion-O in the Astral world and Lion-O sets out to save Jaga. While escaping the Astral prison, Lion-O and Jaga save an old sorcerer named Brodo who has been imprisoned in the Astral Prison for centuries. As a gesture of thanks, Brodo sends Lion-O back to his own dimension.

Matt Foley was a motivational speaker character on the American sketch comedy program Saturday Night Live performed by Chris Farley and created by Bob Odenkirk (although Farley had performed the character in other comedy groups before being a cast member on Saturday Night Live). Essentially, Foley was the very antithesis of a good motivational speaker: abrasive, clumsy, and down on his luck... he was one of Chris Farley's most memorable and comical characters.
