A cool video to the Bogus Journey version of God Gave Rock and Roll to you! Note: When I said "Bogus Journey version" I meant as in the movie "Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey" Sony pictures made a special version of "God Gave Rock and Roll To You" for the movie! It has a different intro, made by the guitar legend, Steve Vai.

Sea Monsters 5 - Chasing Megalodon - Part 2
Nigel Marvin encounters a giant prehistoric shark in the Walking with Dinosaurs: Sea Monsters... I am completely aware that this is not real and so are most of the viewers of this video, so don't bother saying "this is fake" as there is no reason to do so... This program was never meant to fool people or make them believe it showed real life happenings, it's only aim was to make a prehistoric life documentary more interesting... All credit goes to BBC and Impossible Pictures... (Yes, this is a RECREATIONAL documentary, you shouldn't even have to be told!)

The End of the World As We Know It
Dramatization of what would happen if the Earth was struck by an asteroid.
This has happened at least 6 times before in the Earth's history, and on Mayan sun alignment calendars is estimated to be due to occur again in 2012.

There has been a lot of interest in the original mp3, lyrics, and vocals for remixing. You can find all that here
Images came from:

And thanks to MC Hawking, who first thought of using computer-voice to bring Stephen Hawking to the world of rap :-)
MC Hawking
The rapper has a day job (we agree this is a good thing) as a science writer.

Holographics + Augmented Reality = Cool
Ivan Tihienko has created a very impressive concept for how we can use the computer, without having to sit in front of it. He is envisioning a holographic projection system that place the projected image in front of us as we go about our business.
This is augmented reality taken to the extremes.
Take a look at how it works in the video below; including the ability to share the experience with other people, managing your email, GPS directions directly on the street, listening to music etc...

Check out Wired.com's exhaustive Sticky-Tape X-Ray Machine coverage
When pulled apart, sticky tape generates electromagnetic waves through simple friction. Now, as reported this week in the journal Nature, UCLA's Carlos Camara and Juan Escobar have discovered that in a vacuum, sticky tape also sends out strong enough x-rays to image your finger. Check out their bizarre sticky tape unpeeler, and see the machine take an actual x-ray image of a finger.
